I am fortunate enough to have had Dr. Tammy Linn as my violin teacher since my middle school years. Dr. Linn has a gentle and encouraging approach to teaching which has made a shy student like me blossom into a confident violinist. In teaching new or difficult technique Dr. Linn is always patient and kind. She explains each step, breaks things down so they are easy to understand, and then provides practice ideas to ensure student success. Through Dr. Linn, I have learned to play expressively and beautifully on my violin, and my instrument has brought me so much joy.

I have been an adult violin student of Dr. Tammy Linn for 11 years. She has inspired me to make beautiful music with my violin. Her attention to detail on technique and her positive enthusiastic teaching style that embraces the Suzuki philosophy has kept me excited about playing my violin. Now, I am able to "jam" on my violin with my husband on his guitar and able to play with confidence and joy with other violinists, cellists and violists.
